Claremont Church – Bolton
Contacted by the church and asked if we would be interested in the replacement of their existing boilers, we won the project by competitive tender and received an instruction on 2nd December. Our business was shutting down for Christmas on 18th December but it was vital to the church to be open for service on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. We made a commitment to our client that they would be fully functioning in good time.
Existing boilers
The church had two 10 year-old 105kW Viessmann boilers, both had failed and were at the end of their useful life. The boilers supply heat to the entire church via a vented heating system.
Installation in progress
A plate heat exchanger was installed to ensure longevity of the boiler plant. This hydraulically separated the system providing a pressurised unvented system on the primary side and a secondary vented system supplying the church, eliminating any stresses and strains on the existing pipework.
All electrical works were completed by our in-house team.
Completed installation
Two new ATAG XL 110kW boilers, a new gas safety interlock system C/W thermal links, emergency knock-off button and improved ventilation bring the system in line with current gas regulations.
